Mona set an example for others wherever she worked, serving as a secretary, bank teller, payroll clerk and art instructor. Her love of life and others was reflected in her hobbies: art, sewing, cooking and travel. She was a gracious hostess who saw her home as a gift to be shared with others. She blessed many with her generous spirit and freely given talents.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Jack B. Richey of Blanchard; three children: Garry Richey and wife, Donna, of San Antonio, Texas, Rhonda Giles and her husband, Rev. Frank Giles, of Newcastle; Dana Jinks and her husband, Tom, of Burkburnett, Texas; seven grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Roy Taylor of Rockport, Texas; sister, Jana Beck of Tampa, Florida; brother-in-law Jim Richey and wife, Kay, of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister-in-law, Genelle Richey of Blanchard; and sister-in-law, Letha Richey of Oklahoma City.
Mona will be dearly missed, but her family rejoices in her rest and in the legacy of faith she leaves behind. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at the Newcastle Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Rev. Jack Richey Scholarship fund at Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College, Moore, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
