Lester Darrel Paige, 83, a lifelong resident of the Blanchard area, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at his home. The son of Clarence Lester and Susie Mae (Thorn) Paige, he was born July 1, 1929 in Amber, Oklahoma.

Lester married Leona Alice Testerman on March 4, 1950 in Bridge Creek. Lester worked for many years as a butcher for Wilson Foods. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, the AFL-CIO, the Quarterback Club and the Lion’s Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed farming and beekeeping, but his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Christeen Pyle and Clista Hopkins; a nephew, Danny Paige; and his best friend, Neal Chapman.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Alice Paige; two daughters, Lanita Shipley and husband, Gary and Karen Jenkins and husband, Terry; one son, David Paige and wife, Betsy, all of Blanchard; eight grandchildren, Tonya Blaylock, Ashley Schlicher, Brandy Allen, Melinda Hatch, Michael Shipley, Mandy Rappleyea, Amy Paige, and Alicia Jones; thirteen great grandchildren; one sister, Alma Mobbs and husband Jack of Oklahoma City; one brother, Howard Paige of Blanchard; numerous “adopted” grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Blanchard with interment to follow in the Blanchard Cemetery.

Leona Alice Paige, 89, of Blanchard, died Wednesday, November 13, 2019 in Noble. The daughter of Ralph Wilson Testerman and Rhoda Ethel (Kee) Testerman, she was born April 7, 1930 in Amber.

Alice married Lester Paige on March 4, 1950 in Bridge Creek. She was a longtime member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Alice was a talented musician and loved playing guitar and singing with her band “Johnny Miller and the Mill Wheels.” In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling and collecting dolls. Alice’s greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Lester Paige; one sister, Helen Brown; and one brother, Monroe Testerman.

Alice is survived by two daughters, Lanita Shipley and her husband, Gary, of Blanchard; Karen Jenkins and her husband, Terry, of Blanchard; one son, David Paige of Bridge Creek; eight grandchildren, Tonya Allen and her husband, Tommy, of Moore; Ashley Schlicher and her husband, Jacob, of Blanchard; Brandy Allen and her husband, Stephen, of Blanchard; Melinda Hatch and her husband, Chris, of Arizona; Michael Shipley and his wife, Elizabeth, of Laverne; Mandy Rappleyea and her husband, Richard, of Noble; Amy Humphries and her husband, Robert, of Colorado; and Alicia Jones and her husband, Dustin, of Norman; eighteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; four sisters, LaVelle Ragsdale of Bridge Creek; Ruth Betterton and her husband, Bill, of Oklahoma City; Ola Morrison and her husband, Ken, of Amber; and Lora Dills and her husband, Ken, of Illinois; one brother, Roy Testerman and his wife, Linda, of Minco; numerous “adopted” grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, November 18, 2019 at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Blanchard.

Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
