Leslie Carroll
Mullins, 78, of Blanchard, died, Saturday, September 19, 2015, at his home.
The son of William Vallie Mullins and Pauline (Thompson) Mullins, he was
born March 28, 1937, in Tipton, Oklahoma.
Les served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict and later served in
the Army. While in the Army, he was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany and was
assigned to Frankfurt Air Base as a military policeman during the Berlin
Crisis of 1961. He earned his Associates Degree at OSU Tech in Okmulgee and
went to work as an electrical contractor until his retirement. Les married
the love of his life, Mary Alice, on May 19, 1976. He was proud of his
service to his country and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He
was an avid firearms enthusiast and was a member of the NRA. In his spare
time, Les enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, camping, fishing, and canoeing. He
will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Alice Mullins; and
his sister, Valda Jo Trembley.
Les is survived by one daughter, Lavonna Carol Brinkley of Noble; two sons,
Leslie Paul Mullins of El Dorado, Arkansas, and Laurence Carl Mullins of
Blanchard; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many other
relatives and friends.
Memorial service will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at the
Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Arrangements are under the
direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and
