Betty Ruth Looper, 75, of Blanchard, died Friday, January 26, 2018, at her home. The daughter of Robert Brooks and Ola Mae (Holson) Brooks, she was born November 27, 1942 in Wister, Oklahoma.
She worked many years as a caregiver for home health and was Baptist in faith. Betty married Kenneth Wayne Looper on December 28, 1987, in Oklahoma City. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She enjoyed feeding and watching the birds in her yard, especially the hummingbirds.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Patty Bray; four sisters, Lula Curtios, Ruth Duckett, Peggy Graham, and Paula Brooks; and three brothers, Lonnie Brooks, Tony Brooks, and Bobby Brooks.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Looper, of Blanchard; three sons, Robert Simons, of Blanchard, Kenneth “Kenny” Looper, Jr. of Tecumseh, and William “Joe” Looper of Oklahoma City; son-in-law, Jerry Bray of Checotah; fourteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; four sisters, Debbie Hays and her husband, Pat, of Stroud, Carol Salisbury and her husband, Ted, of Prague, Shirley Bullard and her husband, Harold, of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, and Jackie McCracken of Stroud; one brother-in-law, Paul Graham of Washington; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Blanchard Cemetery in Blanchard. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
