Carl married Brenda Sullivan on May 25, 1970 and was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Newcastle. He was self-employed as a heavy equipment operator and was a farmer and rancher. Carl enjoyed farm life and received great pleasure working with horses and cattle. He never met a stranger and was very giving and would take anyone in that needed help. Carl always had something to say to make you smile and was loyal, honest, thoughtful, and caring. Family meant everything to him and he was the best husband, dad, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be missed very much by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a son Brandon Carl Kirkham; and daughter, Lori Michelle Stubblefield.
Carl is survived by his wife, Brenda of Newcastle; son, Lucas Cyle Kirkham of Newcastle; daughter, Carla Williams and husband Bryan of Moore; six grandchildren, Jake Stubblefield, Whitney Stubblefield, Laci Stubblefield, Shayla Williams, Bryce Williams, Dayne Williams; brother, Mike Kirkham of Chandler; sisters, Marlene Wilkerson and husband Preston of Branson, Missouri, Diane Ford and Gerald of Norman; four nieces, Amber Casey and husband Jeff and their son Colten of Fairfield, Texas, Jeri Wright and husband Corey and their children Camden, Leccia, Bergon, and Phadrea of Webster Groves, Missouri, Brittni Dillard and Holli Dillard both of Edmond; nephew, Chris Arnold and his sons, Wyatt, Blue, Cord, and Tegan of Blanchard; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Newcastle Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Frank Giles officiating. Interment will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery.
