Nadine was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and servant of the Lord. She met J.B. Johnson through a friend which was Nadine’s roommate. They wrote to each other and were married April 4, 1946. They made their home in Oklahoma City.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
She is survived by her husband J.B. Johnson of Oklahoma City; daughter, Karen Barivieva and husband Joel of Blanchard; grandchildren, Heather Earley and husband Kee of Oklahoma City, Derrick Barivieva and wife Jess of Blanchard, and Jeremy Barivieva of Blanchard; sisters, Elaine Mayes of Norman, Vera Patterson and husband Pat of Oklahoma City; brothers, Herman (Son) Sturgell of Blanchard, Thurman Sturgell of Blanchard; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 15, 2012 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Blanchard with Pastor David Pickard officiating. Interment will be held in the Blanchard Cemetery.
