Jorene Frances (Troutt) Stacy Hughes was born August 25, 1928, to her parents George A. and Nancy Bell Troutt in Blanchard, Oklahoma. She passed away January 30, 2019, to celebrate with her Savior, Jesus, and multiple family members and friends.
Jorene met and married Herman “Bob” Stacy in November 1946. They were married 38 years before Bob passed away January 29, 1984. To this marriage two sons were born, John and James. James passed away as an infant.
Jorene worked as a checker in Blanchard Red Bud Store and also in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She also worked at the University of Oklahoma for several years.
She and Virgil Hughes married on April 18, 1990, after both were widowed. They were married almost 20 years before Virgil passed away. She enjoyed Virgil’s sons, Michael, Bill and Randy and their families.
Jorene enjoyed handcrafting, fishing, playing games and visiting with David and Ola Hill, little league baseball games, RVing and just being with her family.
She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Blanchard.
She is survived by her son and wife, John and Anita Stacy of Loveland, Colorado; two grandsons and their wives, John, Jr. and Heather, and Denny and Marianne Stacy; five great grandchildren, Jacob, Kathryn, Daniel, Anna and Brayden Stacy, all of Blanchard; one sister-in-law, Alvia “Pat” Troutt and family of Lincoln, Nebraska; and very special and loved individuals, Alice Stacy and Gerri Barrow; and many other loved ones and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George A. and Nancy Bell Troutt; husband, Herman “Bob” Stacy; one son, James Stacy and husband, Virgil Hughes; two brothers, Bill Troutt and Venson Troutt; and sister-in-law, Laura Troutt.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 4, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Blanchard.
Interment will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
