Loren was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He married Nyta Lorene Brady on December 14, 1946 in Eufaula, Oklahoma. Loren worked for the FAA as an electrical technician until his retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and growing vegetables in his garden. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family. Loren was very patriotic and loved our country. He was very proud of his military service and what the military means to us today as Americans.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 63 years, Nyta Holder; two children, Stanley and Brenda; one great-great grandson, Rex; one sister; and two brothers.
Loren is survived by six children and their spouses, Ronnie and Rachel Holder of Blanchard, Janice and Tom Griffin of Marlow, Kaye and Robert McVay of Blanchard, Marilyn and Steve McDonald of Blanchard, Sharon and Charlie Cowden of Blanchard, and David and Sherry Holder of Blanchard; ten grandchildren, Ronda, Gary, Dustin, Zach, Kristi, Heath, Josh, Clint, Megan, and Aaron; fifteen great grandchildren, Shanna, Cody, Garren, Hailey, Madison, Ashlyn, Waylon, Kylee, Conner, Alex, Haydn, Ava, Grant, Landon, and Tatum; five great-great grandchildren, Austin, Peyton, Kodee, Lexi, and Landon; and many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 22, 2013, at the Trinity Holiness Church in Blanchard. Interment will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery.
