Chris “Allen” Henson, 59, of Blanchard, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at his home. The son of Bobby Allen and Christine Laverne (Young) Henson, he was born February 24, 1955 in Oklahoma City.
He was currently working for EnerVest Oil Company as a Senior Lease Operator. Allen married Glenda Peck on June 24, 2004 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He was a Baptist in faith and enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a striper guide on Lake Texoma. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Henson and his step-father, Eugene Landers.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Henson of Blanchard; his daughters, Cara Scyrkels and her husband, Jordan, of Blanchard and Amber Abney and her husband, Kenneth, of Blanchard; his son, Chase Henson and his wife, Jamie, of Ardmore; his grandchildren, Dean Henson, Collin Kirby, Seth Kirby, Aliyah Abney, Coda Scyrkels, and one on the way; his mother, Chris Anglin and her husband, Coy, of Blanchard; his brothers, Kyle Henson and his wife, Lisa, of Blanchard and Vance Landers and his wife, Christine, of Blanchard; many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, March 14, 2013 at Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
