James Ray Harrison, 73, of Norman, died, Saturday, June 15, 2013 in Oklahoma City. The son of Aurelius Ward and Delta Eufaula (Richey) Harrison, he was born June 25, 1939 in Dibble, Oklahoma.
He graduated from Texas Tech University and worked for many years in the banking industry. James was a member of the Harvest Church in Norman and served on the board. In his spare time, James enjoyed collecting coins.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend A.W. “Chief” and Delta Harrison; his twin brother, Jerry, and brother, A.W. Harrison, Jr.; and one sister, Sue Solesbee.
He is survived by his sister, Cloma Bryan and husband, Irv, of Texas; three brothers, Gene Harrison and wife, Lily, of Norman, Tommy Harrison and wife, Louise, of Westville, and Ronnie Harrison, Sr. and wife, Sandy, of Oklahoma City; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Harvest Church in Norman. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Harvest Church in Norman with interment following in the Blanchard Cemetery.
