She married Robert V. Harrell on March 11, 1960 in El Reno, Oklahoma. Glenda worked for many years as an assistant in a doctor’s office. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, fishing and working crossword puzzles, but her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her kids and grandkids. Glenda was an excellent cook and was famous for her peach cobbler, cherry pies, and homemade chicken and noodles.
She is preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Joyce Bryant, Gerry Punneo, and Ann Hayes.
Glenda is survived by her husband, Bob Harrell of Blanchard; one son, Kevin Harrell and wife Cretia of Blanchard; a daughter, Robyn Swinney and husband Raymond of Blanchard; one brother, Lawrence Whaley and wife Patty of Macomb; five grandchildren, Rikki Herron of Moore, Renee Fairless, Nicci Harrell, Christi Clark, all of Blanchard, and Raymond Swinney, II of Oklahoma City; eleven great grandchildren, Jordan, Trey, Jade, Aubree, Carter, Ryan, Raygan, Braylan, Reese, Perri, and Pierce; and many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be at
2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the Eisenhour Funeral
Home Chapel in Blanchard. Interment will follow in the
Blanchard Cemetery.
