Mae Franciss Harmon, 76, of Blanchard, died Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at her home. The daughter of Thomas Frank Chapman and Linnie Mae (Boggess) Chapman, she was born November 25, 1943 in Blanchard, Oklahoma.
Mae worked at a bakery at the University of Oklahoma and retired after 15 years of service. She was an active member of the New Home Full Gospel Church in Dibble. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and arranging flowers, and feeding and watching the birds in her yard. Mae was a talented musician and loved to sing and play the guitar. She was a great cook and everyone loved her turkey and dressing, and fried chicken. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne Harmon; one grandson, Tyler Creswell; one great granddaughter, Jazelle Creswell; and two brothers, Ray Chapman and Charles Chapman.
Mae is survived by one daughter, Sheila Brannon of Dibble; one son, Kendall Creswell and his wife, Kathy, of Dibble; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Odessa Tatum of Chickasha and Martha Lee of Newcastle; two brothers, Wayne Chapman of Blanchard and Jimmy Don Chapman and his wife, Judy, of Blanchard; and many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard.
Interment will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
