Carroll W. Gibson, 88 years old of Middleberg, Oklahoma, passed away October 24, 2006 at Norman Regional Hospital from a long illness of Alzheimers.

He was born in Middleberg on March 23, 1918 to Clinton and Florence Gibson. He lived most of his life in Middleberg, but was in Morley, Missouri for a short time where he graduated high school and became a Christian as a young boy.

He worked at Ft. Sill on helicopters for a time then became a dairy farmer in Middleberg for 25 years. He married Louise Martin where they raised five children. He then was a rancher until around 2002 until he could no longer take care of the cattle.

He will be missed very much by family, friends, and his caregivers at Arbor House Reminisce Center in Norman where he resided for the past two years.

He is survived by his four daughters: Carol Kathy Brinlee of Middleberg and Arvel of Oklahoma City; Beverly Hickey and Mike of Oklahoma City; Jeanne Chambers and Johnny of Okemah; Joan Walters and Skip of Provo, Utah; great grandson Zackary Boyd of Middleberg; eleven grandchildren, Angela, Debbie, Eddie, Susan, Sandi, Jackie, Greg, Charis, Michelle, Johnny, and Joanna, twenty one great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, one sister, Helen Enox and husband Jack of Oklahoma City, brothers-in-law Nolan Martin and wife Viarna, Nolan Workman and sister-in-law Ollie Dale Ridge.

Preceded in death was his wife Louise, his parents, two sons, Douglas and Tom Kay, granddaughters, Lori Kay and Baylee, one sister, Geniveive, one brother, Kenneth.

Services will be held Saturday, October 28, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Middleberg Baptist Church with interment at Blanchard Cemetery under direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimers Foundation.
