Deborah Gene “Debbie” Garrett, 63, of Newcastle, passed away at 6:26 a.m., Monday, July 17, 2017, while visiting her son and his family in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Debbie was born January 31, 1954, in Oklahoma City to Jack and Peggy Dotson. She was a lifelong resident of Newcastle, Oklahoma where she met the love of her life, Perry Don Garrett, and they were married on January 30, 1981, in Denton, Texas. For 36 years, the two built a loving home and family. And after such she enjoyed a successful career as a home health care provider for the last 15 years. Debbie was known for her generosity and loving spirit that over the years enabled her to build lasting and genuine friendships with so many people. Her home existed as a place for both family and social gatherings from where many still carry fond memories of her delicious cooking and fellowship. Her passing affects the lives of so many and she will be deeply and forever missed.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Dotson, her grandparents, Melvin and Dimple Dotson, and Judd and Trudy Waller.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Perry “Pete” Garrett of Newcastle; her father, Jack Dotson of Newcastle; her son, Brandon Garrett and his wife, Cindy, of Fayetteville, North Carolina; her daughters, Virginia Parrish and her husband, Diego, of Oklahoma City, Brette McCracken and her husband, Joel, of Luther, Bekah Eagle and her husband, Eric, of Moore, and Beth Flores and her husband, Danny, of Oklahoma City; twelve grandchildren, Perry, Bryan, Braden, Tara, Joel, Jared, Jason, Jacob, Jack, Ethan, Andrew, and Holley; and seven great grandchildren; her sister, Pam Marshall and her husband, Bill, and their children, Emily and Sara Marshall, all of St. Joseph, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 21, 2017, at the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
