David Glen French, 67, passed away in his home in Blanchard on Saturday, June 17, 2023.

The son of Jack Weldon French and Nellie Ruth (Swain) Snow, David was born on November 24, 1955, in Terrell, Texas.

David lived in southwest Oklahoma City for several years where he raised Jennifer and Jason. He moved to Blanchard in 2001. David proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas and Frankfurt, Germany during his enlistment time. David worked as a master welder for about 12-13 years at Eureka Tool Company before he went to work for FAA. He retired from the FAA after 30 years where he worked as an electronic technician. He traveled all over the world working on long range radar for the FAA.

David loved being outdoors doing all kinds of things. He loved fishing, working in his vegetable garden, slurpies around the lake, fish fries, and tinkering in his shop. He was very musically inclined and played the guitar as well as the banjo. David adored his two cats Cletus and Otis and he enjoyed riding motorcycles. But most importantly, David was a family man. He loved spending time with his brothers, and he was obsessed with his granddaughter Sydney. Micah, his grandson that preceded in him in death, was also very special to him.

David was preceded in death by his parents; his son-in-law, Renan Castellanos; his grandson, Micah Castellanos; a brother, Jerry French and sister, Emma Parker.

David is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Simon and husband Chad of Elk City; son, Jason French and wife Emily of Blanchard; granddaughter, Sydney Castellanos of Elk City; brothers, Tom French and wife Sheri of SW Oklahoma City and Mike French and wife Mary of Mustang; sister, Robin Maples and husband Mike of Yukon; brother-in-law, Gary Parker of Del City; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 22, 2023, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
