Robert "Bob" Glen Franklin, Jr., of Moore, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2019 in Oklahoma City. He was born in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to Robert Sr. and Kim Franklin on October 6, 1947.
Bob married Nancy Cothran on June 7, 1975, in Moore, Oklahoma. He worked as a manager for Wal-Mart and also owned and operated Bob and Kim's Restaurant in Moore for many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Moore. Bob was a member of the Jaycees where he served as president. In his spare time, he enjoyed photography and hunting. Bob was an avid Oklahoma State fan and loved watching any Cowboy sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Kevin Franklin; a grandson, Jonathan Slaughter; and a son-in-law, Mike Simpson.
Bob is survived by his wife, Nancy, of the home; daughters, Christi Simpson, Tiffany Clary, and Nickie Slaughter; granddaughter, Rachael Fritts; grandson, Blake Franklin; great-grandson, Wyatt Wise; brother, Don Franklin and his wife, Patty; sister, Kyla Sanders, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 21, 2019, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard.
Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Bob would be honored to have donations made in his name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (for Mike's Avengers) at https://pages.lls.org/ltn/ok/OKCityL19/csimpson or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at https://www.jdrf.org/. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
