Patsy June Foster, 81, of Blanchard, died Saturday, September 9, 2023, in Oklahoma City. The daughter of Albert Adaine Chapman and Dorothy June (Dugger) Chapman, she was born August 23, 1942, in Blanchard, Oklahoma.

Patsy married Ray Gene “Doc” Foster on September 2, 1960, in Chickasha. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Blanchard. Patsy worked as a customer service representative for Pioneer until her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, sewing, and watching Dallas Cowboys football. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved attending all of her grandkids’ sporting events. She was a devoted mother and a loving grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, C.W. Chapman; and her husband of nearly 57 years, Ray Gene “Doc” Foster.

Patsy is survived by her three sons, David Foster and his wife, Deborah, Darin Foster and his wife, Tammy, and Dwain Foster and his wife, Traci, all of Blanchard; seven grandchildren, Wacey Foster of Blanchard, Colin Foster and wife, Brittany, of Blanchard, Tanner Foster and wife, Kayla, of Norman, Hunter Foster of Norman, Carson Foster of Blanchard, Hope Hughes and husband, Ashton, of Blanchard, and Haylee Mason and fiancé, Trevor Lester, of Blanchard; eight great grandchildren, Austin, Hayden, Daxton, Wrenlee, Stetson, Jedd, Oaklynn, and Lake; one sister, Kay Foster and husband, Shorty, of Blanchard; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at the First Baptist Church in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Ray Gene “Doc” Foster, 80, of Blanchard, died Saturday, July 29, 2017, at his home. The son of Clifford Unes “Click” Foster and Frances Murdell (Haley” Foster, he was born December 12, 1936, in Blanchard, Oklahoma.

Doc married Patsy Chapman on September 2, 1960, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Doc worked as a local manager for Oklahoma Natural Gas Co. for 40 years before retiring. He was a member of First Baptist Church, the Lion’s Club, and the Blanchard Masonic Lodge. Doc served as a firefighter with the Blanchard Fire Department for 20 years. In his spare time, Doc enjoyed team roping, farming, and fishing. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Doc is survived by his wife of nearly 57 years, Patsy Foster of Blanchard; three sons, David Foster and his wife, Deborah, Darin Foster and his wife, Tammy, and Dwain Foster and his wife, Traci, all of Blanchard; seven grandchildren, Wacey Foster, Colin Foster, Tanner Foster, Hunter Foster, all of Blanchard, Carson Foster and her fiancé, Dustin Edgmon of Sallisaw, Hope Sanders and her fiancé, Ashton Hughes, of Blanchard, and Haylee Mason of Blanchard; two great grandsons, Hayden Hughes and Austin Edgmon; and one more on the way, Daxton Ray Edgmon; two brothers, Louie Carl “Pete” Foster and his wife, Doyce, of Blanchard, and Charles B. “Shorty” Foster and his wife, Kay, of Blanchard; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s research. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
