Lyndon Wesley “Lynn” Foster, 72, of Blanchard, died Friday, August 19, 2016, in Norman, Oklahoma. He was born June 2, 1944, in Blanchard, Oklahoma, to H.W. “Hub” Foster and Ira Lee (Freeman) Foster.

Lynn grew up in Blanchard and was a 1962 graduate of Blanchard High School. After graduation, he moved to California and went to work for Republic Steel. Lynn married the love of his life, Teresa Jean “Terry” Henderson, on January 4, 1963, in Downey, California. He and his family moved back to Blanchard in 1967 and he went to work for Unit Parts until 1979. Lynn then went to work as a process engineer for General Motors and retired in 2004, after 25 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith and was a 32nd Degree Mason with the Blanchard Masonic Lodge. In his spare time, Lynn enjoyed hunting, fishing, competition shooting sports, and reading. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother Gary Lee “Goober” Foster.

Lynn is survived by his wife of 53 years, Terry Foster of Blanchard; two sons, Rusty Foster and wife, Kristie, of New Braunfels, Texas, and Jeff Foster and wife, Missy, of Blanchard; five grandchildren, Jacob Lee Foster, Orrin Lynn Foster, Ethan Clay Foster, all of Blanchard, Mandi Ann VanBuskirk and husband, Ryan, of Estero, Florida, and Chase Lynn Foster of Raleigh, North Carolina; three great grandchildren, MacKenzie Lee Haiven Foster, Bradford Lynn Foster, and Landon Michael Little; two brothers, Ted Lewis Foster and wife, Helen, of Blanchard, and Terry Gene “Teep” Foster and wife, Linda, of Wilburton; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Blanchard. Interment will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery.
