Louie Carl “Pete” Foster, 84, of Blanchard, died Saturday, March 9, 2019, at his home. The son of Clifford Unes “Click” Foster and Frances Murdell (Haley) Foster, he was born October 22, 1934, in Blanchard, Oklahoma.
Pete married Doyce Hyde on February 14, 1955 in Purcell, Oklahoma. He worked at the lumber yard for several years when he was younger and later worked as a tollbooth attendant on the H.E. Bailey turnpike for many years until his retirement in 1991. Pete spent most of his life farming and ranching, which he liked best of all. In his spare time, Pete enjoyed fishing and going to rodeos. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family. Pete was an honest, dependable, and hardworking man. He lived with faith and had peace. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, “Doc” Foster.
Pete is survived by his wife of 64 years, Doyce Foster of Blanchard; one daughter, Freeda Stone and her husband, Jerry, of Blanchard; one son, Casey Foster and his wife, Frances, of Ingram, Texas; four grandchildren, Lindsey Stacy of Blanchard, Cody Stacy and his wife, Brandi, of Blanchard, Brandy Foster of Newcastle, and Brandon Foster of Blanchard; three great grandchildren, Braydon Stacy, Cadon Stacy, and Jayley Stacy; one brother, “Shorty” Foster and his wife, Kay, of Blanchard; one sister-in-law, Patsy Foster of Blanchard; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard.
Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
