Joyce Lucille Ferguson age 85 of Newcastle, OK went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at her home with her family at her side. Lucille was born July 9, 1927 in Newcastle. She was the 2nd child of six children born to Kenneth Edward Redman and Lola Odell (Price) Redman. Lucille grew up a farm girl in Newcastle and attended Newcastle schools. She graduated from Newcastle H.S. in 1945 as class Valedictorian. On March 1, 1946 in OKC she married the love of her life, Carl Lafayette Ferguson a young man from Purcell. Lucille and Carl together raised five children and made Newcastle their home for all of their life. Lucille worked tirelessly as a homemaker, wife and mother. She was a wonderful cook and she enjoyed crocheting afghans for her family. Lucille had been a member of the Newcastle First Baptist Church all of her life. For over 30 years she served as the church pianist and organist. After Carl retired they enjoyed traveling in their Airstream and babysitting grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: Parents: Kenneth and Lola Redman Husband: Carl on Dec. 14, 2001 One sister: Lucerne Thomas Two brothers: Verlan and Demoine Redman One great granddaughter: Sarah Ferguson DeMoe

She is survived by: One daughter: Carla Ferguson and husband Norman of Newcastle Four sons: Ron Ferguson and wife Dianne of Newcastle Scott Ferguson and wife Pam of Olathe, KS. Ken Ferguson and wife Connie of Mustang Greg Ferguson and wife Kathy of Norman Two brothers: Charles Redman and wife Helen of Lake Dallas, TX Bill Redman and wife Kay of Parker, KS. 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren And many other loving relatives and friends. Funeral service will be 1:30 P. M. Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Newcastle First Baptist Church. Interment will be at the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are with Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle.
