A.B. Edwards, 84, of Blanchard, died Sunday, December 14, 2014 in Norman. The son of Albert Walker Edwards and Doda Qumile (Helton) Edwards, he was born December 15, 1929 in Sayre, Oklahoma.

A.B. was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was Baptist in faith. He worked for Oklahoma Natural Gas as a heavy equipment operator and retired after 37 years of service. In his spare time, A.B. enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and watching bull riding, football and Wheel of Fortune.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nancy (West) Edwards; and a brother, Jesse Edwards.

He is survived by one daughter, Ladonna Kay Edwards of Blanchard; four sons, Terry Gene Edwards and wife, Pennye, of Oklahoma City, T. Robin Edwards and wife, Cynthia, of Chickasha, Mark K. Edwards of Blanchard, and T. Kim Edwards and wife, Benita, of Tuttle; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; his former wife and mother of his children, Naweeta Jo Shropshire, of Blanchard; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
