Marjetta Louise Dockery, 81, of Blanchard, died Wednesday, May 30, 2018, in Oklahoma City. The daughter of Chester Burton Sewell and Marjorie Inez (Huffhines) Sewell, she was born October 30, 1936, in Blanchard, Oklahoma.
Marjetta married the love of her life, Hubert Ray Dockery, on March 12, 1959, in Camden, New Jersey. She was a member of Crossroad to Life Baptist Church in Blanchard and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching western movies, playing bingo, and going to the casino. Marjetta was a talented musician and could play the piano by ear. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 53 years, Ray Dockery; one brother, C.B. Sewell; a grandson, Brett Reeves; and a brother-in-law, Allen D. Harris.
Marjetta is survived by two daughters, Gayla Reeves of California, and Marla Williams of Mustang; two sons, Toby Dockery and wife, Kim, of Blanchard, and Doug Dockery of Lexington; five grandchildren, Ryan Reeves of Blanchard, Lacie Dockery and Lynn Whitney of Newcastle, Jackie Boyle and husband, Brad, of Newcastle, Jessica Klopfenstein of Yukon, and Courtney Dockery of Blanchard; four great grandchildren, Raylen Boyle, Anna Klopfenstein, Carson Whitney, and Levi Steeds, and one more on the way, Barrett Boyle; two sisters, Barbara Harris of Blanchard, and Leslie McCraw of Blanchard; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sunday, June 3, 2018, at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 4, 2018, at Crossroad to Life Baptist Church in Blanchard.
Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
