Carl served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a mechanic and lived in Blanchard for many years and then was employed as a rural mail carrier and retired from the postal service. Carl was a member of the Church of Christ and American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and was a great handyman and could make something out of anything.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Christine (Roberts) Dillard and second wife, Dorothy (Mayberry) Dillard; a son, Ricky Dale Dillard; and one brother, James H. Dillard.
He is survived by his daughter, Carlene Deaton and step-daughter, Sharon Roxas, both of Arizona; three stepsons, Jim Mayberry, Randy Mayberry and Ricky Mayberry, all of Enid; two grandchildren, Angela Harrison and Christopher Deaton, both of Arizona; six great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; nine step-great grandchildren; one brother, Glen Dillard of California; and many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard with interment following in the Blanchard Cemetery.
