He married Ruth Virginia Isom on August 1, 1953. They made their home in Houston, Texas for many years and returned to Blanchard in 1987. Wesley was a Veteran of the United States Army and worked as a radar repairman for the FAA until his retirement. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Norman and recently attended Holy Family Catholic Church in Tulsa. Wesley was a member of the Oklahoma City Computer Club and served on the Blanchard Planning Commission. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and computers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers, Bill and Joe Darden; a sister, Beth Pringle; and two nephews, Charles Darden and Robert Mixon.
Wesley is survived by his two sisters, Alberta Mixon and Virginia Pfeifer of Sand Springs; eleven nieces, Karen Rankin, Sherry Collins, Debbie Futhey, Suzanne Crafton, Cindy Martin, Kim Pringle, Barbara Weaver, Melinda Darden, Pat Brune, Carolyn Breast and Karen Wood; eight nephews, Steve Mixon, Mark Pfeifer, Danny Pfeifer, Darrell Pfeifer, Delbert Pfeifer, Scott Pfeifer, Buford Pringle, Jr. and Roy Wood; numerous great nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.
Graveside funeral service and burial will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 14, 2013, in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com
