We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
~The Broken Chain

It is with great sadness that the family of Micheal Shane Clanton announces his sudden passing on Monday, February 23, 2015, at the age of 41. Being the oldest of four children, he was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on December 21, 1973 to Richard G. Clanton and Jennifer (Jones) Clanton.

Family and friends were a huge part of Shane’s life. He loved traveled to Louisiana for family get together, having his sons with him and cooking out for his family and friends. Shane was so proud of his oldest sons for attending the University of Oklahoma.
