Ashlyn Nicole Byers, 20, of Oklahoma City, died Thursday, March 16, 2017, in Oklahoma City. The daughter of Shannon Ray Byers and Tonia Marie (Torrey) Byers, she was born September 24, 1996, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Ashlyn was a 2015 graduate of Putnam City West High School. Ashlyn loved all types of animals and wanted to become a veterinarian. She collected stuffed animals since she was a child. She was a very adventurous girl and was always accomplishing something new and checking it off her “bucket list.” She was most excited about the birth of her first child and the new adventure of motherhood. Ashlyn’s absence will leave a void that can never be filled. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Ronald Torrey; and two great grandfathers, Duane Fauser and Vern Kauten.

Ashlyn is survived by her infant daughter, Sally Rose; her mother, Tonia Byers of Oklahoma City; her father, Shannon Byers of Oklahoma City; her boyfriend, James Amway of Yukon; one brother, Cody Byers of Oklahoma City; her grandparents, Terri Kauten and husband, John, of Arkansas, Raymond Byers of Texas, and Lynda Byers of Elk City; her great grandmothers, Donna Fauser of Iowa, Jan Kauten of Colorado, and Maureen Fauser of Iowa; her aunts and uncles, Russell Torrey of Broken Bow, Josh Kauten and wife, Emily, of Illinois, and Tasha Leas and husband, Jimmy, of Iowa; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 23, 2017, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
