Melton Ross “Sonny” Brandt, 56, of Blanchard, died March 20, 2012 at his home. The son of Rayma Louise (Kellner) and Otto Andrew Brandt, he was born August 28, 1955 in Oklahoma City.
Sonny graduated from Blanchard High School in 1973 and married Debra Collins on August 17, 1973. He was employed as an iron worker and was a member of the Iron Workers Union Local 48. Sonny enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, horse racing and NASCAR. Sonny is survived by his wife, Debbie of Blanchard; daughter, Michelle Norman and husband, Mike of Amber; son, Chad Brandt and wife, Ashley of Moore; grandchildren, Cameron Brandt, Reagan Brandt, and Cambrey Brandt; parents, Andy and Louise Brandt of Newcastle; mother-in-law, Nancy Collins; sister, Andi Wood and husband, Carlos; brothers, David Brandt and Donnie Brandt and wife, Darla; nieces and nephews, Laci Wood, Brandon Wood, Brandi Stacy and husband Cody, Nicole Brandt, Kristin Brandt, Cheyenne Collins, Courtney Collins, and Nick Collins; great nephew, Braydon Stacy; great niece, Ryan; and many aunts and uncles and tons of friends. Funeral service will be at 2 P.M., Friday, March 23, 2012 at the Eisenhour Chapel in Blanchard with Reverend Danny Daniels and Michael Wayne Moxley officiating. Interment will follow in Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard.
