Mary Nell (Grady) Bowser, 84, of Blanchard, died Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at her home. The daughter of John William Grady and Maude (Southard) Grady, she was born February 26, 1935 in Oklahoma City.

Mary Nell married Donald Price Bowser on August 31, 1956, in Blanchard. She was a lifelong member of the Blanchard First United Methodist Church, where she served on various committees, taught Sunday School, and played the piano for many years. Mary Nell was very involved in the planning and fundraising for the construction of the existing church building. She was a founding member of the Blanchard Education Foundation. Mary Nell was a very accomplished pianist and taught piano lessons to countless children over the years. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and visited locations all over the world before he passed away. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with her friends at their Book Club and Knitting Club meetings. Mary Nell loved the Blanchard community and served on both the Blanchard Cemetery Board and McClain County EMS Board of Directors for many years. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. Mary Nell was a devoted mother and a loving grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, John Price Bowser; and her husband of 53 years, Donald Price Bowser.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Janeen Heller and Jane Ann Woods and her husband, Bobby, all of Blanchard; four grandchildren, John Grady Heller of Oklahoma City, Stephanie Ann Heller of Oklahoma City, Grant Price Woods of Blanchard, and Robert Blake Woods of Blanchard; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, September 9, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church in Blanchard.

Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in Mary Nell's name to the Blanchard First United Methodist Church or to the Blanchard Education Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
