Roland married Lurene Mae Dunn on August 1, 1962 in Norman, Oklahoma. He worked for the City of Norman for 22 years before retiring in 2007. In his spare time, Roland loved being outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He enjoyed dancing and listening to country music. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Shirley Ann Bowling.
Roland is survived by his wife, Lurene Bowling of Norman; two daughters, Brenda Wolf and Joe Wolf of Norman, and Trish Hawley and husband, Vince, of Norman; one son, Tim Bowling and wife, Becky, of Norman; five grandchildren, Sarah Wolf of Oklahoma City, Kacey Wolf of Norman, Zach Hawley of Edmond, Madison Hawley of Norman, and Dylan Bowling of Norman; two sisters, Pat Rodgers and husband, Jim, of Blanchard, and Sallie Bowling of Blanchard; and many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the
Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the
Blanchard Cemetery. The family will
receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the
funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of
