Marian Bottoms, age 77 of OKC, and formerly of Wayne, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022, at the Grand Nursing Home in Bethany.
Marian Dee Bottoms was born November 9, 1945 in McAllan, Texas, the younger of two children born to Edmond Harold Stamp and Berniece (Reed) Stamp. She was raised in Mountain View and attended school there, graduating with the Tiger’s Class of 1964.
Marian married young to Donald George, and they welcomed daughter, Sheila. She later married Pat Dixon, and they welcomed a second daughter, Barbara.
Marian worked hard raising her young family, and when she could, she returned to school. She began taking classes at Rose State College and later the University of Oklahoma, eventually graduating with an Associates Degree. Marian started working as a Legal Assistant for the Oklahoma Education Association, and retired after more than 21 years of dedicated service. Away from work, Marian enjoyed tending to her garden, and watching her fur babies. She enjoyed watching crime series and law and order tv shows, and it was said she was a “professional shopper”. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sister, aunt and a true friend. She will be dearly missed!
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Edmond and Berneice Stamp; husband of 26 years, Gerald Bottoms; her grandmother, Anna Stamps and special aunt Rosetta May Richland.
Marian is survived by: her daughters, Shelia Martin of OKC and Barbara Stasyszen and husband Jerry of OKC; her brother, Chuck Stamp of Del City; 5 grandchildren, Shannan Gilmore, Jeremy Stasyszen, Jami Lorentino, Matthew Martin and Coty Hall; 4 great grandchildren, Stevie, Fisher, Lachlan and Lucas and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Little’s Chapel, Wilson-Little. www.wilsonlittle.com.

Gerald Wayne Bottoms, 59, of Wayne died Thursday, March 8, at Norman Regional Hospital.
Mr. Bottoms was born Dec. 21, 1947, in Oklahoma City to William “Bill” Bottoms and Ella (Hopkins” Bottoms.
He was the older of two children and graduated from Blanchard High School in 1965. He began working in Civil Service at Tinker Air Force Base where he worked as an Aircraft Electronic Special Logistics Manager.
Mr. Bottoms married Marian Stamp Sept. 3, 1985, in Del City. He moved to Wayne in 1995 and has lived there ever since.
He retired from civil service after working more than 30 years and began working for Boeing where he recorded aircraft manuals.
Gerald was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, family said. He lived to spoil his grandchildren. His real passion was airplanes, and he also liked studying history. He loved working in his yard and watching the stars.
He was preceded in death by his infant son Billy Wayne Bottoms; and grandparents Charlie and Myrtie Hopkins and Allie and Ruth Bottoms.
Mr. Bottoms is survived by his wife Marian of the home; daughters Sheila Martin and husband Ricky of El Reno, Sherry Clayton of Norman, Barbara Stasyszen and husband Jerry of Midwest City and Stacey Tarrant and husband Chad of Oklahoma City; parents William and Ella Bottoms of Wayne; sister Barbara Lowrance and husband Jack of Phoenix, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren, Jeremy, Matthew, Melissa, Davey, Coti, Jami Kate, Rebekah, Chad Jr., Treina and James Dean; and many other relatives and a host of friends. Bearers will be Michael Stamp, Richard Melton, Billy Wells, Jimmy Wells, Jimmy Hurst and Kent Finnen.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Hooper officiating. Burial will follow at the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
