Christine Laverne “Chris” Landers Anglin, age 92, of Blanchard, died Thursday, May 9, 2024, at her home. The daughter of Milton Andrew Young and Zetta Elizabeth (Trobaugh) Young, she was born April 30, 1932, in Oklahoma City.
Chris was Baptist in faith and worked as an administrative assistant for Gulfco and also worked as a cook at Lion’s Hump and Pump in Blanchard for several years. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, working in her flowerbeds, camping, and going to the lake. Chris had a kennel and raised various breeds of small dogs for over 45 years. She loved working jigsaw puzzles and playing board games with her grandkids. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Chris Allen Henson; her husbands, Bobby Allen Henson, Eugene Raymond Landers, and Coy Arvel Anglin; and two sisters, Pauline Young and Jean Leisure.
Chris is survived by two sons, Kyle Henson and his wife, Lisa, of Blanchard and Vance Landers and his wife, Christine, of Blanchard; one sister, Donna Taylor and her husband, Jack, of Wheatland; six grandchildren, Chase Henson and his wife, Jamie, of Ardmore, Chance Henson and his wife, Lindsey, of Texas, Tyler Henson and his wife, Ashley, of Maryland; Blake Landers of Blanchard, Ashley Witcher and her husband, Ryan, of Lindsay, and Austin Landers of Blanchard; seven great grandchildren, Dean, Lyla, Colton, Bryer, Dylan, Braxton, and Rhett; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, May 13, 2024, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Interment will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery in Blanchard, Oklahoma.
