Coy Arvel Anglin, 83, of Blanchard, died Saturday, July 8, 2017, in Norman, Oklahoma. The son of Ernie Arvel Anglin and Olen (Ramay) Anglin, he was born February 14, 1934, in Natalia, Texas.
Coy was a veteran of the United States Army and was Baptist in faith. He worked for many years as a truck driver before retiring. Coy was member of the Teamsters Union and the AQHA. He married Christine (Young) Landers on September 7, 2001. In his spare time, he enjoyed raising horses, fishing, watching Texas Rangers baseball, and attending his grandkids’ sporting events.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Val Anglin and Johnny Mack Anglin.
Coy is survived by his wife, Christine Anglin of Blanchard; one daughter, Pam Boswell and husband, Harold, of Lindsay; three sons, Coy Anglin, Jr. and wife, Patty, of Puyallup, Washington, Rick Brannon of Blanchard, and Duval Anglin of Crowley, Texas; two stepsons, Kyle Henson and wife, Lisa, of Blanchard, and Vance Landers and wife, Christine, of Blanchard; seventeen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one sister, Arlene Stephenson and husband, Bob, of Encinitas, California; one brother, Harold Anglin and wife, Vicky, of Blanchard; one sister-in-law, Barbara Anglin of Platteville, Colorado; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at the Midway Southern Baptist Church in Dibble. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery.
