Blanchard – A graveside service for Rodney Thomas "Troy" Andrews, 80, will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday in the Blanchard Cemetery at Blanchard. The Rev. Kim Hayes will officiate. Arrangements are by Good Samaritan Funeral Service, Woodward.

He was born April 7, 1918, at Pauls Valley to Fred and Lela Price Andrews and died Saturday, August 15, 1998, while attending a senior citizens' dance at Arnett. He grew up in Blanchard, Woodward and Chickasha.

On August 10, 1944, he married Dorothy Dawson at Chickasha. The couple lived in a number of places in Texas and Oklahoma where he worked as a truck driver and in construction.

Surviving are three daughters, Almetia Chapman and Sharon Kay Newsom, both of Chickasha, and Patricia; two sons, Kenneth and Darrell, both of Chickasha; nine grandchildren; and eight great – grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother.
