Thomas Christopher Adkins, 41, of Blanchard, passed away on July 31, 2023, in Norman. The son of Christopher DeVon and Lisa Dawn (Washburn) Adkins, Thomas was born in Oklahoma City on January 9, 1982.
Thomas lived in Blanchard his whole life and was a 2000 graduate of Blanchard High School. In high school he played football, baseball, and did weightlifting. He was the homecoming football king and was also a member of the National Honor Society. Thomas had worked for himself for the last several years as a handyman. He was very generous with his time and always enjoyed helping others. He loved everyone he met. In his spare time, Thomas enjoyed working on and rebuilding cars. He also liked to do woodworking. His greatest joy was in spending time with his two children, who he adored. Even with a heart condition, he loved riding the roller coasters with Christopher and Leah.
Thomas is preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Paiton Wilson; and grandparents, Glendell Washburn, Franklin Adkins and Sherry Adkins.
Thomas is survived by his parents, Christopher DeVon and Lisa Dawn Adkins of Blanchard; daughter, Leah Dawn Mauk-Adkins; son, Christpher Lee Mauk-Adkins; sister, Christina Adkins-Tuckett and husband Kelvin; brother, Christian Adkins; nephew, Kyler Tuckett; former wife, Brandi Mauk; grandmother, Joyce Ann Washburn; special friends, Shelby Reeves and Lauren Miozza; and many more loving family members and friends.
Viewing will be from 12:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M., Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard, Oklahoma. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 4, 2023, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery.
