Gloria Ann Adamson, 76, of Blanchard, died Monday, April 3, 2017, in Tuttle. The daughter of Elvin Clay Bench and Ida Mae (Dunham) Bench, she was born June 24, 1940 in Blanchard, Oklahoma.

Gloria married Bobby Adamson in Durant, Oklahoma on December 20, 1960. She worked for many years as a cafeteria worker for Blanchard Public Schools and then went to work in the healthcare industry as a CMA at a nursing home and then a home health aide. She was a member of the Blanchard Church of Christ. In her spare time, she enjoyed embroidery, baking, making Christmas candy, and working in her flower beds. Gloria’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Claudetta Shannon; and a brother-in-law, Dub Adams.

Gloria is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bobby Adamson, of Blanchard; one daughter, Pauletta Beck of Blanchard; one son, Gary Adamson and his wife, Kristi, of Blanchard; four grandchildren, Kody Gill of Blanchard, Jessica Klopfenstein of Mustang, Ryan Garcia and his wife, Amanda, of Moore, and Jill Garcia of Blanchard; four great grandchildren, Aaliyah Rogers, Olivia Garcia, Anna Klopfenstein, and Scarlett Garcia; four sisters, Kay Adams of Purcell, Laquita Creel and her husband, Gary, of Blanchard, Kim Doerksen and her husband, Ken, of Blanchard, and LaVita Bowring and her husband, Bo, of Blanchard; two brothers, James Shannon and his wife, Clarene, of Blanchard and Jack Shannon and his wife, Pam, of Blanchard; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 6, 2017, at the Blanchard Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
