Ova Mae Edmonds, age 84, of Pryor, Oklahoma, was born on November 30, 1941, in Pryor, Oklahoma, to Gracie Violet (Saunders) Anderson and Ross Pollard "Shug" Anderson. She departed this life on January 18, 2026, in Pryor, Oklahoma. Ova Mae was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Marge (Johnny) Duncan, Joan (RJ) Anderson, Gene (Billy Bob) Atkins, and Rossi (Leon) Patterson. She is survived by her siblings, Jimmy Ross (Lana) Anderson and Darla Sue "Tutti" (Raymond) Averett; her sons, Greg (Cindy) Stafford and Gary (Lori) Stafford; her grandchildren, Geoffrey (Steffanie) Stafford, Sara (Jon) Kendrick, Erin (Andrew) Champion, Kendall Stafford, and Kayla (Adam) Jackson; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation services will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 1:00 p.m., until 3:00 p.m., at Shipman's Funeral Home, located at 1204 NE 1st Street, Pryor, Oklahoma 74361 with burial following in the Vann Cemetery in Pryor.
Ova Mae will be remembered for her devotion to her family and the quiet strength she showed throughout her life. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Shady Rest Care Center for their years of dedicated, compassionate care and kindness shown to Ova Mae.
