Billy Dean Bullard
June 30, 1955 - October 7, 2024

Billy Dean Bullard, 69-year-old Vinita resident, passed away late Monday, October 7, 2024, at the Northeastern Health System in Tahlequah. He was born on June 30, 1955, in Ada, Oklahoma to Jolene H. (Reed) and Edward N. Bullard.

Billy graduated high school and went on to college at East Central in Ada and Southeastern in Durant to get his associate degree. He worked many years as a costume designer, then joined his mother to do sewing and alterations for J&B Alterations in Vinita. They were known for their expert skill and kindness to their customers. Billy had moved to Vinita in 2007 from Garland, Texas. He was a member of the Miami Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Jolene Bullard, and his brothers Buddy Bullard and Eddie Bullard.

The family includes his siblings, Harmon L. Bullard and wife Fran of Crofton, Maryland, Deborah A. Kirkpatrick and husband Charles of Durant, a very special friend, Patty Talley, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 4:00 pm at the Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery, with Pastor Robert Sanders officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.highsmithfh.com or on the funeral home Facebook page. Arrangements are in the care of the Burckhalter-Highsmith Funeral and Cremation Services of Vinita. “Vinita’s only locally owned and operated funeral home.”
