Services for Cody Alton Garrison, 18, of Rose, were held Wednesday, November 27, 2002, at 2pm in the First Free Will Baptist Church of Locust Grove. Rev. Johnny Nantz officiated, with interment following in the Rose Cemetery. Services were under the direction of the Locust Grove Funeral Home.
Cody was born June 26, 1984, in Tulsa, to Steve and Pamela (Nantz) Garrison. He grew up in the Rose area and attended Locust Grove Schools, graduating from Locust Grove High School this past May. He was working for Express Personnel at RAE Manufacturing in Mid-America Industrial Park. Some of his favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing, and he enjoyed sports like baseball, softball, and wrestling. He also enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, playing video games, and being with his friends. He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Locust Grove.
He passed from this life on Sunday, November 24, 2002, in Rose. He is survived by his parents, Steve and Pam Garrison of the home; brother Steve and Patty Garrison of Locust Grove; sister Jennifer Garrison of Pryor; maternal grandmother Kathleen Nantz of Locust Grove; nephews Luke and Peyton Garrison; niece Sydney Garrison; as well as numerous other cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Viola Garrison; maternal grandfather Lloyd Nantz; and uncle Walter Lee Garrison.
