Wayne Ralph Rix was born February 10, 1909 in Adair, Oklahoma and departed his life at 10:30 PM, August 20, 2005 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was 96 years, 6 months and 10 days old. He attended The Pleasant Hope Baptist Church, Adair, Oklahoma.
He was the son of Thomas Jefferson Rix from Upper East Tennessee and Sadie Amedia Webb Rix, from Nevada, Missouri. They lived just West of Adair, Oklahoma on a farm.
He is survived by his brother, Webb Rix and wife Bessie of Adair, Oklahoma; their children Eldon, Rhoda and one daughter, Beverly, predeceased.
He had one predeceased sister, Genevieve Marie Rix Henry, who has one son, Kenneth Gene Henry, living in Kansas.
He has one living son, Bobby Gene Rix, Sr. from Florence, Colorado. Two predeceased sons, Thomas Jefferson Rix, and Marvin Wayne Rix One predeceased daughter, Norma Rix Jones.
He was first married to Pearl Rix, the mother of his children and then to Ethel Reynolds Rix in 1955, with whom he and Ethel reared his grandson, Bobby Gene Rix, Jr.
He is survived by his nephew John Reynolds and niece Faye Reynolds Lee of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
He has 16 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. One predeceased Grandson, Darwin Jones.

The Heirs of Marvin Wayne Rix Della Bledsoe Rix, his wife. Valarie Rix, her husband Jimmy Matussak; children, Jennifer, her husband Kirby Bickel; twins, Kaleb and Karson; Ray Dick, his wife Yessica, Laramie Matussak, Mattrick Matussak Michael Rix, wife Amy; children Cody, Randy and Madison.
The Heirs of Norma Rix Jones Gary Jones, sons Gary Wayne Sr. and Gary Wayne Jr., Annette Jones, husband Don Fox; children Stacy and Crystal; daughter Destiny. Sharline Jones; husband Mark Compton; children; Sarina, James and Fawn; daughters, Velecia and Victoria. Merlene Jones, husband Junior Pelser, children Angela, Ernie, Billie Jo; daughter, Kenna. Diane Jones, her husband Steve Watkins, sons Derek and Dustin Pamela Jones, husband Kenneth Oliver Shronna Jones, wife of Darwin Jones, deceased; their son Garrett
The Children of Boby Gene Rix, Sr. and Thelma Bertrand Bobby Gene Rix, Jr. wife Sarah; daughter Kimberly Marie Rix Jackson; her husband Michael M. Jackson; sons Alec Michael and Marshall Douglas.
Wayne lived in Chelsea, Oklahoma for most of his later years. He was known around town as the elderly gentleman who was still driving and visiting at 95 years of age. He was very friendly and enjoyed never meeting a stranger. He will be missed and was loved and admired by all.
