Stanley David Six
December 30, 1953 - November 14, 2008

Stanley David Six was born on December 30, 1953, in Locust Grove, Oklahoma to Charles Douglas and Nellie Mayo (Cagle) Six. He departed this life on Friday, November 14, 2008, in Locust Grove, Oklahoma at the age of 54 years, 10 months, and 15 days.

Growing up, Stanley attended schools at Iron Post and Locust Grove. He also took on the job training courses from OSU-Okmulgee Tech. On March 28, 1975, in Rose, Oklahoma, Stanley and Debra Jo Jenkins were united in marriage. Stanley was currently working as an operator for Express Metals at the Big Cabin location and had been a Locust Grove resident for over 22 years. Stanley was a member of the First Baptist Church of Locust Grove. He loved riding his motorcycle and was a member of the Forgotten Confederate Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed being a part of the Toys-For-Tots drive during the Christmas Holidays and also the St. Judes Children Hospital.

He will always be remembered for saying, "We're gonna go round and round in about 5 seconds." Stanley will be remembered as a loving husband, father, papa, and friend to all he met.

He is survived by: his wife: Debra of the home for over 33 years; 3 children: Doug Six and wife Edna of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; Shannon Stafford and husband Bo of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; and Brandon Six and wife Ashley of Pryor, Oklahoma; 7 brothers & sisters: George Six and wife Ray of Gilbert, Arizona; Barbara Sue Fritts of Okay, Oklahoma; Bill Six and wife Lucy of Locust Grove, OK; Pat Harrison and husband Donald of Okay, OK; Bettye Bell of Peggs, OK; Kay Sabilla and husband Luigi of Muskogee, OK; and Christine Sampson of Muskogee, OK; 7 grandchildren: C.J. Stafford of Locust Grove, OK; Keitha O'Dell of Tahlequah, OK; Kyle Six, Jaren Six, and Ethan Six, all of Locust Grove, OK; Trey Stafford of Locust Grove, OK; and Mercede Phillips of Pryor, OK; Numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Stanley was preceded in death by: his parents and 2 brothers: L.V. Six and Larry Six.

Funeral service was held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at the First Baptist Church in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. Reverend James Duffell, Pastor Kevin Pittman, and Gene More of Stone Rollers Ministry officiated. Interment followed at Hogan Cemetery in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the Locust Grove Funeral Home.
