Pearl Sitsler
February 18, 1932 - December 30, 2017
Pearl Sitsler was born on February 18, 1932, in Kenwood, OK, to William & Nancy (Ketcher) Russell. She departed this life on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at her home in Locust Grove, OK, at the age of 85 years, 10 months, & 12 days.
Growing up, Pearl attended schools in Wyandotte, OK. On April 2, 1953, in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, Pearl & Harvey Dan Sitsler were united in marriage. They had been married, just shy of 65 years. They had lived in Leach for some time, until their move to Locust Grove in the 1980's.
Pearl attended the Church of God in both Peggs & Pryor. She enjoyed fishing, camping, & horse racing. Pearl liked to sew & cook. She loved to spend time with her family, whom she loved very much. She will be missed by all that knew & loved her.
Pearl is survived by: Her husband: Harvey Sitsler of the home; 7 children: Larry Sitsler & wife Karen of Peggs, OK, Kenneth Sitsler of Locust Grove, OK, Patricia George & husband Del of Mehama, OR, Karen Pelroy & husband Joe of Albany, OR, Carl Sitsler of Locust Grove, OK, Deborah Hibbs of Locust Grove, OK, & Sandra Hoffman of Locust Grove, OK; 24 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; & 1 great-great granddaughter; 1 sister: Dorothy Dollarhide of Mena, AR; Numerous nephews & nieces including: Nancy Wolfe of Eucha, OK; Other relatives & a host of friends. Pearl was preceded in death by: her parents; 2 sons: Jimmy Sitsler & Johnny Sitsler; 6 brothers; & 7 sisters.
Funeral services were held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Crossroads Assembly of God in Chouteau, Oklahoma. Reverend Jess Stipes and Reverend Jack Sitsler officiated. Interment followed at the Hogan Cemetery in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. Services were entrusted to the Locust Grove Funeral Home.
