Cecelia Ann Chuckluck, a beacon of warmth and affection in the lives of many, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, at her home in Pryor, Oklahoma. Born on September 17, 1951, in Claremore, Oklahoma, Cecelia was known for her boundless and generous heart, embodying the essence of a caring soul throughout her lifetime.
Cecelia was a devoted caregiver, extending her nurturing nature beyond her own family. She welcomed countless individuals into her home and played a pivotal role in the upbringing of other children, instilling values of kindness and empathy in those around her. Her rich personality brought joy and comfort, making her a cherished presence to friends and family.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Cecelia knew her as a happy person who thrived on the beauty of life. She found joy in the great outdoors, often indulging in activities such as fishing and swimming. Her love for sports was evident in her enthusiasm for playing softball, a pastime she really enjoyed.
Cecelia leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering support, and she will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she impacted. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Cecelia is survived by her children: Starla Sappington, James Chuckluck Jr., and Richard Lee Chuckluck, all of Pryor, OK. She also leaves behind her sisters, Betty Barnes of Caney, OK, and Emma Pickup of Salina, OK; sister-in-law, Sally Chuckluck-Durant of North Carolina; and brother-in-law, Raymond Chuckluck. The legacy of love Cecelia fostered continues through her cherished grandchildren, including Sierra Chuckluck, Kylee Sappington, Dakota Spradlin, Jacob Chuckluck, Brittany Chuckluck, Olivia Chuckluck, Tyler Foster, and Chase Foster.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Mary (Leaf) Pickup; her devoted husband, James Chuckluck Sr.; her son, Darrell "Magoo" Pickup; brothers Roy Lee Pickup, Kenneth Bark, and Tony Robbins; sister Betsy Nutter; and grandson Nathaniel Foster.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Salina All Nations Church with Reverend Brian Soldier officiating. Interment will follow at the Grass Cemetery in Salina with Billy Pickup, CJ Wolfe, Clifford Wolfe, Ben Pickup, Blade Pickup, and Jared Jordan serving as casket bearers. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 5, 2025, at Shipman's Funeral Home. To leave a message, please visit her guestbook at www.shipmansfuneralhome.com.
