Kenneth Earl Palmer
May 15, 1926 - April 11, 2016
Kenneth served in the United States Navy during WWII from 1944- 1946. After being honorably discharged, he lived in Oregon for several years where he worked for Georgia Pacific. Kenneth was married to Lila Bartley on June 1, 1957 in Elko, Nevada and from their union came one daughter.
In 1973, he was transferred to Pryor where he continued work at Georgia Pacific; he worked there until his retirement in 1990. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, bowling and playing cards. He was a good carpenter and did many remodeling jobs over the years on his own home and for others and he also enjoyed building bird houses. Kenneth had a wonderful sense of humor, he was a twin and he loved fooling people as to which brother he was. He loved his family dearly and he will be missed greatly.
Kenneth was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pryor and also the American Legion and VFW.
He is survived by his wife, Lila of the home; one daughter, VeNila Davis and husband Lynn of Pryor; two granddaughters, Mindy Rhoads of Pryor and Katie Rhoads of Castle Rock, Washington; one sister, Jeanne Banta and husband Larry of Salmon, Idaho and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters and five brothers.
