Marc Ray Bunnell
July 9, 1944 - November 12, 2024
Marc Ray Bunnell, 80-year-old life time Pryor area resident, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 12, 2024, at the Rolling Hills Care Center in Catoosa. He was born on July 9, 1944, in Pryor to Ray and Helen (Goyer) Bunnell, and graduated from Pryor High School in 1962. Marc married Barbara (Myers) on June 27, 1987, in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Pryor First Free Will Baptist Church. Marc worked in the coal mines for Peabody Coal Company many years doing reclamation, after the coal mines shut down, he went to technical school to learn a new trade. Marc went to work for the glass plant in Sapulpa as a maintenance technician over electronics. His greatest joy was life on the farm, using his tractor, and taking care of his cattle. Marc also enjoyed boating on the lake with his family, and being a snow bird with his wife Barbara in Tucson during the winter months.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and a brother, James Michael "Mike" Bunnell in November of 2017.
The surviving family includes his wife Barbara of the home, his children, Brian Bunnell and wife Stacey of Dixon, Illinois, Shari Dill and husband Dennis of Tucson, Arizona, William Organ and wife Stephine of Coweta, Maggie Ragland and husband Ernie of Wagoner, sister, Linda Stephens and husband David of Chouteau, grandchildren, Ashley, Garry, Beau, Grant, Rebecca, Logan, Matthew, Robert, Garrett, and nine great-grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, November 17, 2024, at the Stephens-Key Chapel in Pryor.
The celebration of life will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church of Pryor, Pastor Rusty Harrison will officiate. Interment will follow at Graham Memorial Park Cemetery in Pryor. Online condolences may be made at www.stephens-key.com or on the funeral home Facebook page.
