Shirley Ann Musgrave
August 25, 1936 - February 2, 2025

Shirley Ann Musgrave was born on August 25, 1936, in Moberly, Missouri. When she was five years old, her family moved to Pryor, Oklahoma, where she would spend the rest of her life.

It was in Pryor that she met a very shy young man. He was sitting in the back seat of a friend's car when he saw Shirley and her friends walking toward them. As they approached, he slowly sank down in his seat, too shy to speak. Shirley greeted him, but he was too nervous to respond. Eventually, he found the courage to talk to her, and that moment marked the beginning of a lifelong love.

Shirley and Troy Musgrave were married on March 31, 1956, in Pryor, Oklahoma. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising two wonderful sons, Steve and Gary. Her family - especially her boys and her beloved husband, Troy - was the greatest joy of her life. No matter how much they tested her patience, she always loved them unconditionally and cared for them with unwavering devotion.

Shirley's love for God was evident in everything she did. She and Troy were dedicated members of the Pryor First Free Will Baptist Church for over 60 years, cherishing their church family. Her kindness and generosity were well-known, and every church dinner featured at least one of her dishes - each marked with her signature on the bottom to ensure it made its way back home.

She had a passion for reading, especially Amish books, and she took great joy in decorating her home always asking Troy to move another picture. Shirley also loved playing cards with her friends and going on camping trips, always treasuring the time spent with loved ones.

During her final illness, her greatest concern was ensuring that everyone around her knew and loved Jesus. One day, she called out the names of each person in the room, asking them one by one if they loved Jesus - making sure each of them said it out loud.

Shirley is survived by her devoted husband, Troy, who will miss her dearly but finds comfort in knowing she is at peace. She is also survived by her sons, Steve and his wife, Tami, and Gary and his wife, Connie, both of Pryor. Her brother Terry Roach, of Claremore, OK. Her grandchildren, Jordan and Leah Musgrave of Chouteau, OK; Jolene and Mark Morrow of Yukon, OK; and Greg Wallis of Marble Falls, TX. She was a proud great-grandmother to Judd, Parker, Wyatt, and Darbi Musgrave of Chouteau, OK; Charlie Morrow of Yukon, OK; and Madison Wallis, Johnson Wallis and his wife, Azlin, of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mabel Mae (Guthrie) Perkins; her brothers, Clay Perkins, Allen Roach, and Gerald Roach; and her sister, Claudine Pruitt.

Shirley Ann Musgrave lived a life filled with love, faith, and kindness. She leaves behind a family who adored her, a community that cherished her, and a legacy of unwavering faith. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

The celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Pryor, with Pastor Rusty Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Pryor. Online condolences may be made at www.stephens-key.com or on the funeral home Facebook page. Arrangements are in care of the Stephens-Key Funeral and Cremation Care of Pryor.
