Mary LeaEllen Jones
June 29, 1934 - March 7, 2025

Mary LeaEllen Jones, 90 years old, was a beacon of hope and inspiration, peacefully passed away on March 7, 2025 at 4:22 p.m. at The Village Health Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and resilience that will continue to uplift and inspire generations to come.

Born in Hockerville, Oklahoma on June 29th, 1934, Mary's life was a testament to the transformative power of faith, love, and family. Her devoted husband, Everett Jones, Sr., may have passed on, but his memory continues to inspire generations, a shining example of the enduring legacy of their love. Her parents, Cora Sullens and John Kirk, may have departed this earth, but their impact on her life remains a profound blessing, shaping her values and inspiring her family. Her brothers, Harold Kirk, Kenneth Kirk, and George Sullens, may have left this world behind, but their memories remain a cherished treasure, reminding all who knew them of the importance of love and family.

Thankfully, her family's love and light continue to shine brightly through her surviving loved ones, including Shari Baldwin, her devoted daughter, and Everett Jones, Jr., her beloved son. Robert Grant III, her proud grandson, Tyler Grant, her great-grandson, and Robert Cameron Grant, her great-grandson, all carry her love and legacy forward, inspiring future generations. Mary, affectionately known as LeaEllen, was a shining example of hope and joy, touching countless lives through her faithful attendance at Gospel Assembly Owasso/Sperry, Oklahoma, and the countless cards and letters she sent to her friends.

Though a stroke may have slowed her steps, it could not dim her spirit, and she continued to uplift all those around her during her six-year residence at The Village Health Care Center.

LeaEllen's passion for life was evident in her beautiful yard, which she lovingly tended, and in the hundreds of photos she took of its vibrant flowers, a testament to her zest for life.

Her creative spirit also shone through in the children's books she wrote, which, though unpublished, brought joy to countless young hearts in her church community, inspiring a love of learning and imagination.

Her love for playing her piano was dear to her, and her love for God.

LeaEllen's life was a testament to the transformative power of love, faith, and family, and her memory will continue to uplift and inspire all who knew her, a shining legacy of hope and love. She was dearly loved by many, and we will deeply miss her, but her impact on our lives will never fade. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025, at the Stephens-Key Chapel in Pryor. Online condolences may be made at www.stephens-key.com or on the funeral home Facebook page. Arrangements are in care of Stephens-Key Funeral and Cremation Care of Pryor.
