Velda Jean Duncan
March 27, 1939 - March 8, 2025
Velda Jean (Campbell) Duncan, 85-year-old Tulsa resident, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, in Tulsa. She was born on March 27, 1939, in Pryor to Glen and Thelma Elizabeth (Knight) Campbell. Velda was a 1957 graduate of Pryor High School and went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in business education from Northeastern State at Tahlequah. Velda and James Duncan were united in marriage on June 4, 1960, in Pryor at the Christian Church. Velda worked for and retired from Lowrance Electronics in Tulsa. She loved going to Lake Tenkiller, going out in their boat on family outings. Velda was a big Oklahoma Sooner football fan and her and James had season tickets, going to the OU-Texas game, and one time to the Orange Bowl. Velda loved riding around and driving a sporty car as well.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Thelma Campbell.
The family includes her husband James of the home, her daughter, Dana Kostoff and husband Nick of Lipan, Texas, grandson, Jason Kostoff and wife Liz, great-grandchildren, Grace, Madalyn and Elianna, and numerous friends.
