Norman "Stormin' Norman" Teehee
April 4, 1952 - March 2, 2025
Norman Wayne Teehee, 72, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away in the arms of his family at his home on Sunday, March 3, 2025. He was born on April 4, 1952, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to Lloyd Jackson Teehee and Geneva Lee (Eslinger) Teehee-Ridenour and was lovingly raised by his maternal grandmother, Emma Eslinger.
Norman grew up in the Kansas, Oklahoma, area and attended Oaks and Kansas schools before continuing his education at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. On July 2, 1973, he proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he honorably served until his discharge as a Lance Corporal on July 2, 1975.
A skilled craftsman, Norman worked as a residential and commercial framer. His talents extended beyond construction, as he was a true jack-of-all-trades, taking on contractor and sub-contractor work and always willing to lend a hand as a handyman.
In the early 1990s, Norman and Clara Ruth (Pryor) Scott began their life together, later marrying and making their home in Salina. Northeast Oklahoma was always where his heart and home belonged.
Norman spent countless hours near the water doing what he loved, fishing. He was known for his sharp wit and sense of humor - his sarcasm never failed to bring a smile to those around him. He had a generous spirit, always ready to help others, often to a fault. He was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his son, Eric Teehee of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his daughter, Lacie Teehee of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his sister, Marguerite Teehee of Salina, Oklahoma; as well as numerous relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandmother, his beloved wife, and his brother, Gerald “Jerry” Teehee.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Bryan Chapel (Boatman) Cemetery near Salina, Oklahoma, with Brother Shawn Bates officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Locust Grove Funeral Home.
