Joanna Bell (Morgan) Teter
February 12, 1930 - February 25, 2025
Joanna Bell Teter, 95-year-old Pryor resident passed away early Tuesday, February 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 12, 1930, in Salina, Oklahoma to Dolph and Ruth (Gates) Morgan. Joanna was a 1948 graduate of Salina High School. Later that year she was united in marriage to Joe Littlefield and in the next 27 years, Billy, Gary and Lana were born. She worked and helped with raising her family. In 1985 she married Lewis "Jay" Teter in Arkansas, they traveled to all the states, Canada and Mexico several times. Joanna was a member of the Pryor Rebekah Lodge #61, American Legion Auxiliary and the Mayes County Historical Society. Past member of Beta Sigma Phi Chapter and the Pryor Elkette's. Joanna worked at the Salina-Spavinaw Telephone Company, Cattleman's Cafe, was co-owner of Colonial Inn Restaurant, she also worked at Whitaker State Children's Home, Grand Valley Hospital (Mayes County Medical Center) and the Coo-Y-Yah Historical Museum. She enjoyed holidays and birthdays when the family came home. Joanna also enjoyed flowers, gardening, and reading.
Preceding her in death were her parents, father of her children Joe Littlefield, her husband Jay Teter, two brothers, Denton and Gerald Morgan.
The family includes her children, Billy Dewayne Littlefield and wife Rita, Gary Leon Littlefield and wife Paula, Lana Ruth Willis and husband Dwayne all of Pryor, step-sons, Mike Teter and wife Jan of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Pat Teter of Springfield, Missouri, grandchildren, Amy Long and husband Bobby, Brett Littlefield and wife Kelli, Jaime Rapp and husband Casey, Sydney Jones and husband Shaun, Cody Willis and wife Alicia, Travis Willis and wife Chrissy, great-grandchildren, Hannah, Carter, Ainsley, Dale, Cale, Clara, Noah, Naomi, Nathan, Emory, and Emmitt, numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the Stephens-Key Funeral Home Chapel.
The celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Stephens-Key Chapel, with Pastor Andy Pilant officiating. Interment will follow at the Ross-Mayes Cemetery in Salina. The family would like to acknowledge their great appreciation to Shelly and the staff at the Avondale Cottage of Pryor, for the wonderful care Joanna received while living there.
