Gordon Dale Goyer
January 22, 1931 - April 1, 2025
Owasso

Gordon Dale Goyer, 94, of Owasso, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Dale was born on January 22, 1931, in Salina, Oklahoma, to James Buster Goyer and Edith Agnes (Thornton) Goyer. He married the love of his life, Ola Francis (Haley) Goyer, on June 28, 1952. They shared over 70 wonderful years together before her passing on January 28, 2023. Dale proudly served his country in both the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army. He went on to work for First National Bank of Tulsa for over 30 years, where he held the position of Vice President for many of those years. Concurrent to his banking profession, Dale also established and directly operated D&R Lumber & Hardware in Tulsa. A man of deep faith and commitment, Dale spent many years writing personal commentaries on each book of the Bible, a labor of love that reflected his devotion to God. In retirement, he enjoyed life on the farm, raising cattle, and tending to the land. He also lovingly cared for his wife in her final years, a true testament to his character and enduring love. Dale was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church in Owasso and will be remembered for his integrity, work ethic, and strong spirit.

Dale is survived by his sons, Tim Goyer and wife Tene of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Doug Goyer and wife Dana of Denton, Texas; daughter-in-law, Danette Goyer of Owasso, Oklahoma; brother, Jim Goyer and wife Beverly of Pryor, Oklahoma; sister, Doyne Dunlap of Irving, Texas; 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Buster and Agnes Goyer; wife, Ola Goyer; son, Carey Goyer, and brothers, Dean Goyer, Don Goyer, and Denton Goyer.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Ross-Mayes Cemetery in Salina. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 4, 2025, at Shipman's Funeral Home in Pryor.
